YAKANTALISA for voice and 8-speaker installation, by Chanan Ben Simon (extended voice) and Guy Barash (electronics) is based on sensual, picturesque poems by Israeli poet Hezy Leskly (1952-1994). Throughout the work Chanan fragments and reassembles the text into extended vocal material while Guy in his real-time electronic treatment of pre-recorded vocal materials exposes the underlying sonic nuances, making them linger in space.
